    MSD/Fabricator

    Manufacturing Support Department (MSD) Employee Requirements

    Duties and Requirements:

    Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of production tooling and fixtures. The MSD job can be subcategorized into a huge variety of tasks such as machining, welding, machinery repair and metal/wood fabrication.

    MSD Position Requirements:

    - Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders
    - Measure, examine, and test existing tooling and fixtures in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
    - Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of repair needed to fabricate products
    - Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information
    - Fit and assemble parts to remake or repair machine tooling.
    - General welding and fabrication skills
    - Computer skills a plus
